Another slow-road-trip, this time to Kristiansand. Destination Redemption, a goth/metal club. For the first time on the tour we were in time! And got bored of waiting... Zensor did a fantastic, energic gig! Subsonic Mind was charged too! Much thanks to the dedicated metal heads who headbanged the whole shows through. Thank you!
We left three o´clock in the morning, and after seven hours of driving we arrived at home in Arvika.
The whole tour was an exciting experience. Both Zensor and Brain Police are wonderful people to hang with, and we really hope that we will do more gigs together!

One hell of a journey on slow Norwegian roads brought us to Tribute in Sandnes. We were welcomed by the staff, some really friendly people. Everything was fine, except for one thing: one of Norway´s most famous bands, Kaizers Orchestra, did their last gig on their tour in Stavanger, 15 kilometers from Sandnes... and that was probably where everybody was, not many people showed up at our gig. Well, sound engineer Mads and one of the Tribute-dudes fed us with shots and beer, so we had a great time anyway. And we got to sleep at a hotel!

Subsonic Mind packed Yvol, our trusty (?) tour van, and was ready to go to Oslo. Well, Yvol wasn´t ready. Wouldn´t start! Sivert, inventer/american motor expert/Robert´s father soon found out that it was something wrong with the start engine. After an hour or two he had fixed it, and two ours late we left for Oslo. We arrived at Sakari´s place and got a good nights sleep in Camp Sibir...

Gig at Ritz, with more people than Mondo! The three bands did great, and afterwards there was a party with five crazy Icelandic stonerrockers and a bunch of Norwegians. Brain Police left for the airport early next morning, and left a pair of stinking shoes as a reminder of their visit. Pictures will be published soon.

Sometimes things don´t go the way you want... We arrived at Mondo in Stockholm, and found out that they had lost their license to serve alcohol the very same morning... and everybody in Stockholm semmed to know about it! As a result there wasn´t many people at the gig. And it didn´t help that a guard told everyone who came to Mondo that it was closed! Pictures will pe published soon.

Last week Lisa spent her days in the studio doing her voice stuff.
Guest guitarist Anders Nyberg made a great slide guitar solo on "Ride" this week. Robert and Niklas shouted their throats sour with some backup vocals. Niklas and Esben are doing their best to put all the samplings in place. Jolene have done some drum dubbings and metal percussion. A busy time for Subsonic Mind!

The work in the studio is going well.
We are at Göteborgs Tonstudio located at Brew House in Gothenburg. All drums were done by Jolene last week, Robert has finished all bass and now Tomas and Niklas are taking turns putting the massive wall of guitars in place. Hopefully there will be some work with all the samples before the weekend. Next week it's Lisas turn to prove her skills.

A weekend in a very cold city: Elverum (N). Subsonic Mind took part of a seminary held by Skandinavisk Musikunion. A lot of interesting stuff. An american drummer named Michael Blair, who has played with artists like Tom Waits and Lou Reed, lead a workshop called Artist Development. Subsonic Mind was his "testgroup". We played, and he told us what to improve. Very useful, many thanks, Michael! Later on in the evening, Subsonic Mind was the warm up act for Jaqueline(N) at a nice club called Brochmann in Elverum. A great evening, we made a lot of new friends and good contacts!

The weather did its best to stop us from getting to Helsingborg. Snowstorm! But we arrived in time after all. Not many southern Swedes dared to leave their homes in the terrible weather, but we met some new friends, some of them from other bands. Links to the bands and pictures coming up soon!

In spite of rain, people came to see us on Friday night. Subsonic Mind was on fire, thank you everyone who gave back as much energy as we tried to give you! At the end of the concert, we opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate the Nordic tour. Only Lisa and Tomas knew about it before the gig, so it was a big surprise for Jolene, Niklas and Robert when Lisa announced the great news in the microphone!
